Are you new to Charlotte? Or are you in Charlotte looking for a new fitness center?

Let me tell you I have been there.  In 2012, I was looking for a new gym.  I was training for my first triathlon. I needed a gym with a pool.  My friends suggested we visit a local gym near our office.  We scheduled a tour and a workout.  Halfway through I wanted to leave.  The workout was fine, but I did not feel like I fit in. It was too "boutique-y" for me.  I didn't want to feel like I needed to dress up and not sweat at the gym.  I work out hard.  I sweat a lot!

I continued my search and I found myself at the Harris YMCA. Fun fact: I worked as a camp counselor at the Harris Y one summer!  I instantly knew this was the place for me.  Everyone is friendly and inviting. When they say this is more than just a gym, it’s a community, they mean it.  Yes, you can get a great workout at the Y, but they also have many community events, health and wellness programs, adult athletics, and even a program that is specific for dads and kids called Adventure Guides.

My kids have done everything at the Y from dance to gymnastics to basketball to summer camps and their favorite, the pools and waterslides!

The best part is they have over 20 branches in the Charlotte area, and you can visit all with your Y membership at no extra cost.  No matter where you chose to live in the Charlotte area, a YMCA will be close by!  My “home Y” is now the Morrison YMCA. An extra bonus are the lifelong friends I have made and the encouragement we give each other every day.

If you are looking to buy in the Charlotte area and want information on the area you looking or a tour of the area, please reach out to me at 704-293-5842 or shoot me an email at jenniferreagin@remax.net.  I will be happy to show you around and I can point out the closest YMCA!

PS - this is me at the Morrison Y after a great Athletic Conditioning class this morning!
